There are many non-traditional places where couples have made special memories at their wedding ceremony, reception or simply a photo shoot. Read on to see where couples have celebrated their special day.

Museum & Boat

Cassidy McMonigle,Wedding411’s 2019 Magazine Cover Bride grew up on sailboats her entire life and always envisioned a nautical wedding on the Chesapeake Bay. She had her ceremony at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD, but was able to incorporate her dad’s yacht, Elf into her special day. Photos by Kayla Coleman.

Walking Bridge & Reservoir

Julie Ambridge, Wedding411’s Digital Marketing Coordinator opted for a wedding photoshoot with her groom and wedding party at a walking bridge located in Cockeysville, MD. Her groom and his best man had to lift her over the rail before walking through shrubs to get to the bridge. They posed for photos while trying not to look down at the openings below their feet. Before the bride and groom headed back to their wedding venue, they made a stop at the Loch Raven Reservoir for more photos. Who doesn’t like a bit of adventure? Photos by Hannah Mink Photography.

Beach & Park

David & Renee Jordan got married at Mayo Beach Park on the South River. This wedding venue was the perfect amount of beach and greenery they wanted and their photos represented that. The sun came out just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle to see her groom, with a radiant glow through the clouds. The couple’s favorite photo memory was taking photographs in the trees at the park. It wouldn’t be a Jordan wedding without a little unpredictable tree climbing, the right amount of adventure & fun. Amusement Park

Valerie Baker chose a beach photo shoot in Ocean City, MD. She even visited Trimper’s Rides & Amusements, home of the oldest carousel in the US to be a part of her photo session. The horse she rode was the founders wife’s favorite horse. Photo by Nikole Ariel Photography.
