Sales and Marketing Manager
Piney Branch Golf Club seeks an experienced, passionate and energetic sales manager to increase banquet functions, golf tournaments, and membership sales. While this role for the Club will focus heavily on the banquet segment of the Club’s business, the successful individual will also serve as the lead for promoting and increasing membership. Possessing food and beverage experience and knowledge are necessary to be able to effectively sell the products and services within the banquet sales environment. Strong computer skills are necessary to handle generating reports, developing marketing materials for both banquet and membership promotion and to communicate the pertinent details of events and membership to management and appropriate staff members. Creativity and marketing experience are a plus to develop strategic plans to increase banquet, tournament and membership sales. In regards to the banquet operations, maximizing the banquet space by increasing daytime functions, increasing wedding sales outside of the normal wedding season, and increasing the overall dollar per guest within each function is of utmost importance.
This is all accomplished through networking, solicitations, member-engagement and attaining or exceeding the annual budget revenue goals. Flexible working hours are a must in this position to meet the client’s needs and often require weekend and evening shifts.
In this key role you will be responsible for increasing banquet, tournament and membership sales through:
- Closing leads generated from advertising and direct marketing programs
- Cold calling corporations and individual prospects
- Establishing referral-based relationships
- Networking with club members and community

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Education and Experience:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 to 5 years’ experience in Private Clubs, Catering sales or related professional area.
