Fireworks at Your Wedding – What You Should Know

A fireworks display at your wedding will be an experience your guests will never forget – not to mention the amazing photos that you’ll be able to create.

Any fireworks show will first have to be cleared by your venue.  Coordinate with your contact or planner to check to see if this will be allowed on their property.

A reputable fireworks company will be able to visit the site and determine the best place to work the display.  A list of MD State Police approved vendors can be found here: http://mdsp.maryland.gov/firemarshal/Pages/ExplosivesandFireworks.aspx

There are specific regulations about safety, distance from building, etc. that are determined by the Maryland State Police and Fire Marshall, that the vendor should be knowledgable about:  http://mdsp.maryland.gov/firemarshal/Pages/ExplosivesandFireworks.aspx

Tell your photographer about the plans in advance.  This way, they will be prepared to capture your wedding fireworks with the appropriate camera equipment and timing.

Work with a reputable and licensed fireworks company to ensure that your show goes off without any issues!
