Thank you for making the dove release and horse and buggy ride so beautiful and perfect! The buggy ride was so nice and by far one of my favorite parts of the wedding because it gave us a few minutes of peaceful alone time right after the ceremony. It was so special, so sweet, so perfect! Thank you for making our wedding complete! Thank you for adding such a special touch to our wedding. Everything went perfectly and we thank you for it!

My husband and I had considered several venues for our wedding that we hoped would provide a laid-back setting to celebrate our day outdoors with friends and family. We were beginning to get a bit disheartened by the extra rentals adding up and the specified vendors, which kept throwing us into a stock wedding that just wasn't us, but we were trying to make the best of it. I remember the night I did one last search online, primarily to prove to myself and my then-fiancé that we had in fact already found the best fit. When I came across Fairwinds, it looked like a dream – exactly what I would have imagined my ideal (wedding, vacation, life...) to be. The photos were gorgeous! But I assured myself that pictures can lie, and anyway, the place was booked on the date we had selected. It looked so beautiful, though... We decided to go visit anyway, just to get a better idea of what was out there (and to see if a place like this really existed).

A day or two later, my fiancé and I left work at lunchtime to go take a look at JoAnn and Ted's farm. Oh my goodness, was it for real. We started falling in love with the place instantly. We explored the sun-drenched grounds, the charming farmhouse, and the massive super-cool tent set up at the time for horse shows, all the while chatting with JoAnn and wondering how she ever made such a dream life for herself. When we got back in the car, we gave each other crazed looks, and just said, "We've gotta change our date!!!" On our way back to work, we started making phone calls. Every one of our family members and wedding party had the new date open. It was meant to be.

When the day came, it was perfect, warm, sunshiny weather, the kind only May can bring. My best friends and I dressed in a room of the farmhouse with occasional peeks through the wispy curtains, where we could see people from all over collecting in the grassy field below and stretching out on the hay bales. With horses and doves to one side and my dearest loved ones to the other, my husband and I said our vows, before skipping off to be whisked away in a carriage. People could not stop telling us throughout the evening on how much they loved the venue, and I could not stop telling them what a joy the whole process had been! My family and I were so thankful for all the little extras JoAnn and Ted threw in, including their time and labor for some setup activities and numerous adorable little bits of creativity sprinkled around. At every turn, they had been as helpful and accommodating as possible. We even spent our wedding night there in the farmhouse, and we were greeted by a purring Siamese cat in the morning before enjoying a delicious home-cooked farm breakfast with Ted. What a beautiful beginning to our new life together.

I am so thankful that places like Fairwinds do exist, and that wonderful people like JoAnn and Ted are those blessed with them. Our day simply would not have been our day without them graciously sharing their blessings with us. The memories from that day will warm my heart for a lifetime!

We had my daughter's wedding here 9/23/2017. Joanne and Ted were wonderful to work with. They are so experienced with weddings they can anticipate all your needs! Their recommendations for catering, restrooms, etc were great. The venue is beautiful and they have a wonderful backup set up for bad weather. Their bed and breakfast is a delightful place. The bedroom my daughter got dressed in looked out over the ceremony site so she could see who was arriving and hear the music. They had good electrical set ups both outside and inside for the dj. As for the photographer, he loved all the photo possibilities, the Barb's, fields, animals, ponds have them so many choices! Ted had the fire pit going for an evening of s'mores and marshmallows about 50 feet from the reception-such fun! The reception venue was lovely with all the fairy lights draped across the walls and ceiling. There was plenty of room for all the tables we needed and an amply sized dance floor. My daughter looked marvelous in the White House drawn carriage that brought her and her dad to the ceremony and then drove away with her and her new husband. It was like a rustic fairy tale!

The rehearsal dinner on Friday evening was terrific and provided at no extra cost by Ted and Joanne. She made a make your own tacos spread that was delicious, including beef, chicken and shrimp, guacamole and sour cream, and veggies. It was well worth the trip from the Baltimore area. This venue and it's owners would be hard to beat!

I just had my wedding this weekend (10-21-17). JoAnn and Ted did an amazing job helping me set everything up and answering every question anyone had! Such a beautiful place and such gracious owners! They went the extra mile to make sure me and my husband had an amazing day! Highly recommend Fairwinds!!

My husband Josh and I held our wedding here at Fairwinds Farm and Stables this past weekend, Saturday, September 9th, 2017!! Fairwinds was an absolutely wonderful place to hold our wedding! JoAnn was always very helpful and responded to emails in no time! Josh and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!! From the relaxed atmosphere to the beautiful scenery, and lovely bonfire-JoAnn and Ted were very accommodating and helpful with everything from the very beginning with the planning to Josh's grand entrance, the carriage ride, and to assist guests with parking. Everyone can not stop talking about how beautiful our wedding was! We loved every bit of it. We will always remember our time at Fairwinds and will be sure to visit for some horseback riding! It was absolutely an amazing weekend! JoAnn and Ted will work with you to make sure your vision comes to life! I can't say enough lovely things about the entire experience.

My husband Kenny and I held our wedding here at Fairwinds Farm and Stables. .weekend, We rented the venue from JoAnn and Ted Dawson for the entire 3 day weekend Friday thru Sunday, and couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!! From the relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful scenery, JoAnn, and Ted's helpfulness with everything from our carriage rides to assisting guests with parking it was an amazing weekend! JoAnn and Ted will work with you to make sure your vision comes to life! I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire experience! The bonfire after the rehearsal dinner as well as the rehearsal dinner itself was extraordinary! I can confidently say my guests and I felt very welcomed and more than accommodated! The bed and breakfast were also stunning and went with our rustic relaxed theme!!

We had our wedding here October 20, 2018. Ted and JoAnn were absolutely amazing. The bed and breakfast was great. They went above and beyond to make sure me and my wife and bridal party was taken care of. They do so much for you don’t need a wedding planner. Our guests were so amazed at this venue. We initially found out about Fairwinds Farm because they rent carriages for off-site weddings. After speaking with the owners and visiting the site, we were offered the opportunity for ours to be the first on-site wedding. This venue is gorgeous! It's a working horse farm, so if you want somewhere comfortable and beautiful, this is the place for you. The on-site B&B offers accommodations that are delightfully artful. We were truly able to collaborate with the Fairwinds Farm folks to make ours a unique experience; wonderful people! We would happily recommend Fairwinds Farm!

Family promised I wouldn't sleep a wink a night before my wedding – but they had never stayed at the Fairwinds B & B! I took a lovely bath in a classic clawfoot tub, slept like a rock, and woke up to an amazing breakfast! JoAnn even kept an eye on the clock to get me out the door on time. To top it off, Fairwinds also provided the beautiful horse & carriage for the wedding! Everything was perfect! Thank you JoAnn & Ted!
