We had about 85 guests at our wedding, and this was absolutely perfect. I must admit that I hesitated to book at first because I had dreamed of a DC wedding. But, alas, the pains of being a bride on a budget. Ultimately, the manor house is a winner and I have no regrets. You're not going to find a better value for a venue of this quality. There's a bridal suite for the ladies (it's beautiful) and a room for the guys to get ready. We were able to have the ceremony outside under an archway that needed very little decoration (simple tulle draping) in a pleasant garden area that also worked well for pictures. Our cocktail hour and reception were inside the house where we had the entire main level open. There are two front rooms for the bar, guestbook/photobooth, escort cards, etc. The back area is where we had the lunch buffet style. People seemed to really enjoy hanging out on the front porch as well. The only decor we put out were some photos and a few vases with flowers. The house didn't need anything, it's lovely as-is. Side note: if you decide to have your wedding during the day slot, I recommend an after-party a block away at the Ram's Head Tavern to keep the good times rolling.

This venue was amazing and my husband and I could not have picked a better place to get married. Angie was great throughout the planning process and helped us make decisions regarding the food and linens. She was very helpful during my many menu changes and request. I really appreciated it. The staff on the day of our wedding was wonderful. They were great in helping to keep the event moving along and accommodating some of our guests who were in wheelchairs. The place itself is gorgeous and has a huge dance floor with lots of natural light. My guest really appreciated having both the ceremony and reception in the same location. The deck had a cover over it and we had wonderful weather. Angie even provided drinks on the deck for our guests prior to the ceremony. We got so many compliments for the venue space. This was the best place for us and we would not change a thing!

I had a wedding here in October. The wedding turned out beautifully and we had great food during the wedding. The service at the wedding was great, and they definitely took care of us as the bride and groom

We had a pretty short but specific list of venues when planning our wedding. This was the first on our list because of its location and reputation for exceptional food and service by Putting on the Ritz. As you already assumed, we did not get past our first choice. The manor is beautiful and full of history. We had our wedding in the evening and were slightly nervous about lighting and space with 100 guests- there were no issues with either. The lighting of the manor adds to the class and ambiance. It was a warm, joyful evening among friends and family in a house that felt like home. The rooms are separated enough to allow groups to mingle and the staff was an absolute treat with their hospitality and genuine smiles and service. The bridal suite is absolutely stunning and the groom's suite was comfortable for a bunch of guys to hang out before the ceremony. Our ceremony was outside at the pergola behind the house. The bride's father ran led curtain lights on the pergola and it was an amazing addition to the evening. The food was exceptional and all the guests were raving about it well after the wedding. The cupcakes as well were fantastic-- there were four options, all available to guests. Putting on the Ritz helped make our planning easier by booking the DJ in our package (DJ Ivan- who was also awesome). They were super accommodating with all the minor details that my wife and I had planned. Rachael, our event manager, was fantastic, kind, and extremely helpful with our food tasting, color selections, and overall fine-tuning of the ceremony and reception (including allowing us to set up a kick-ass cigar bar on the front porch). This was our perfect night and location to have our wedding. Everything came together here for a spectacular gathering that our guests absolutely loved and remembered.

We had such a great experience with Putting on the Ritz and the Manor House! The food was delicious. The staff was accommodating. The venue is just perfect for smaller weddings; we had 90 and we fit great. The building is just beautiful with historic details and intimate setting. We really enjoyed ourselves!

We were married at the manor house on October 19, 2018. There were a few minor hiccups along the way, including a miscommunication with our rehearsal, but it was fixed with an apology and turned out to not be a big deal at all.

Rae was our event coordinator for the day, and I can't rave enough about her. I can't believe how beautiful she made it look. I mean, it's a beautiful venue, to begin with, but she took our decor that we provided and knocked it out of the park. She was both right there and invisible the whole time - always right there if we had a question, but never intruding upon our celebration.

The bartender was amazing. She was so friendly and smiling the whole time. Fantastic. The other servers were hardly seen in the best of ways. I can say that I don't remember seeing them, but I remember that our tables were always neat and clean, free of empty glasses and dishes, and our guests were well fed. They were there, again without intruding upon the celebration at all.

At the end of the day, we loved our wedding here. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it was, and how much fun our guests had. We would absolutely recommend this venue to potential couples.

We held our wedding/reception and our rehearsal/rehearsal dinner at the Historic Savage Mill Manor. We could not have been more thrilled the beautiful venue, the excellent and professional staff we had the pleasure to work with. We had 30 people at our rehearsal dinner....and 50 people at our wedding. Everything was perfect !!!!

We especially loved the Bride's room and Groom's room upstairs. They were wonderful places to prepare for the day's events with our wedding party (and to disappear for a few minutes for a moment of private time after the ceremony).

I highly recommend for your next wedding or another special event!

We could not have been more happy with our wedding ceremony at the Manor House in Savage. Everything went perfectly from the weather to the food, to the wine service and the ceremony itself was beautiful out in the backyard garden. All our guests raved about the venue and the food! And our event planner, Rae Stiles, could not have been better! She took care of everything and was there the whole day for me. We whole-heartedly recommend the Manor House for a beautiful wedding!
